Eugene Weekly Press Club - Sample 3

About Us

Eugene Weekly Press Club, a project of nonprofit fiscal sponsor Alternative Newsweekly Foundation, gives our community a way to help keep Eugene Weekly strong, independent and free.

For more than four decades, Eugene Weekly has been telling the stories of Eugene and Lane County — asking uncomfortable questions, holding local power accountable, celebrating local artists and covering the people, places and issues that shape our community.

Your support can help:

  • Invest in the next generation. Fund internship stipends that give aspiring journalists hands-on experience in a working local newsroom.

  • Expand community access. Help get Eugene Weekly to people in rural and underserved parts of Lane County where our red boxes don’t reach.

  • Dig deeper. Support special reporting projects and in-depth coverage of local stories and issues that might otherwise go uncovered.

Community support also helps us do something increasingly unusual: make independent local journalism available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

At a time when newspapers are disappearing and local news resources are shrinking, community support matters more than ever.

Supporting Eugene Weekly Press Club helps keep Eugene Weekly local, independent, feisty and free — and here for the long haul.

Mission Statement

Eugene Weekly Press Club helps sustain independent local journalism in Lane County. Support helps keep local news accessible to everyone while strengthening coverage of the people, places, issues, and arts and culture that shape our community.
